Science, plainly
The science,
in plain language.
Aureum uses five specific wavelengths of light, delivered at measured, consistent intensity, for ten minutes per session.
Light therapy is one of the most studied modalities in modern aesthetic medicine. Its effects are measurable at a cellular level. The right wavelength, at the right intensity, for the right duration, is associated with measurable activity in the mitochondria of skin cells.
On the visible spectrum
Each Aureum wavelength sits at a specific point in the visible light range — chosen for what it does to the skin, not for what the eye prefers.
Purple mode delivers Blue (415 nm) and Red (630 nm) together — surface clarity, with the comfort of red light.
The five wavelengths
Red
630 nmRed light supports the skin's natural collagen process. With consistent use, skin may appear firmer and smoother. Associated with the appearance of improved tone and fine lines over time — the most studied wavelength in home and clinical light therapy.
Blue
415 nmBlue light works at the surface of the skin and is commonly used for blemish-prone or congested skin. It is associated with an effect on the surface bacteria that contribute to breakouts. A measured, non-aggressive mode.
Green
520 nmGreen light is used for the look of uneven tone and visible discoloration, supporting a more balanced-looking complexion over time. Best paired with consistent daily sun protection.
Yellow
590 nmYellow light is used for skin that looks tired, dull, or visibly stressed, supporting a calmer and more rested appearance. A gentler mode, suited to sensitive or reactive skin.
Purple
415 + 630 nmPurple mode combines blue and red light: blue for surface clarity, red for restored comfort and skin barrier support. For skin that may benefit from both in a single session.
Is Aureum right for me?
Aureum is designed for cosmetic LED use at home. If you are pregnant, have a history of photosensitivity, take photosensitising medication, have an eye condition, or are under clinical treatment for your skin, please speak with a qualified clinician before use. Do not look directly into active LEDs. Use only as directed.
The device is supplied with an eye cover; use it during each session. If you are uncertain whether Aureum is appropriate for your skin or health, a brief conversation with your GP or dermatologist is the right first step.
A note on claims
We do not promise specific results in specific timeframes. We will not show you before-and-after photographs taken under different lighting. We will tell you what the device does, at what intensity, supported by what evidence — and we will trust you to make an informed decision.
